In Nigeria, it is commemorated on 27th May, annually to celebrate and appreciate the giftedness of children.

These children are the future of many generations, so attention must be paid to their spiritual, physical, emotional, educational and their social wellbeing.

In the light of this, Oshodi arts gallery foundation (deemed as the 2nd largest art collection centre in Nigeria) took advantage of the special medium in creating a phenomena known as the Nigerian children’s art and cultural festival occasion.

The Eve of children’s day 2022 witnessed fun and excitement at the staff event hall of the Lagos state university of science and technology (formerly LASPOTECH) in Ikorodu.

As pupils from across 18 schools in Lagos State converged to mark the maiden edition of the Nigerian children’s Art and cultural festival, it was nothing short of pure entertainment, traditional exhibition and educational talk.

The program, poised to project a new form of celebrating the annual children’s day according to the organisers is an infusion of culture, art and education to nurture the Nigerian child at the cradle stage.

Created by Oshodi arts gallery and Produced by Fanafilit integrated concepts, the program featured a pre-tour for students and their coordinators to the art gallery before the main event exposition at the former LASPOTECH staff hall.
